Circling Alone: Paganism’s Solitary Eclectic Future?

Times are changing; what does the future Pagan World look like with the incessant deluge called The Internet having interwoven into modern society?

What is the role of temples, clergy, and elders?

A wonderful article that brought out the best in people, based on the comments.

Guest Post: The Marginalization of Halloween

Coupled with raving lunatic fundementalits demanding "merry christmas" be said at stores in December or they will "spread the word" and tell their friends not to shop there becuase they are edumactaed in Chick Tracts about the origins of "their" holiday.

The link is about finding the sacred within the mundane. Of the hidden Night Side within the Day Side. Of the Difference between Halloween and Samhain.

Darkest Blessings dear writer, from this Daimon, to yours.

Pagan Authors and Reversion Rights

Pagan Authors and Reversion Rights

A call to vigilance in this uncertain time of rights and responsibilities in the USA.

Who owns your art after it is "out of print"? Months, years, decades ago/from now, will your decendents be able to republish?

You need to find out ! eBook readers are making a mess of a problem in other ways too!

Thnik!

You Can’t Take It With You

You Can’t Take It With You

A thought provoking post that strikes my Daimon's strings about living in a democratic society with a capitalist economic system.

My dad having died recently (2011-12-22) had no money for his decendents; wife, daughter, and son. Only life lessons, and about six bookcases worth of books. While the money would have helped us out, the lessons make us part of who we are, and the books help us understand the untold parts of what made my dad part of who he was.

The money would have been wasted on some mass-marketed tourist trap, or horridly expense shoes or something else shoved in a closet when a new "precious" hits stores later.

But the PERSON my dad was, lives through me. Though I have same-gender attraction, future generations will hear of my dad. His wisdom, passed from ear to ear through my still-living family and friends. To become an inalienable part of who they are.

My Daimon lifts a glass of watered-wine to the Na'vi on this one.

-You can not take it with you, so what legacy do you want to leave behind? How do I want the future to know me as?
